Bench Study of Fluid Properties

• The present set-up "Properties of Fluids and Hydrostatics Bench" is designed to demonstrate the properties of fluids and their behavior under hydrostatic conditions i.e. when fluid is at rest. 

• This allows students to developed understanding and knowledge of a wide range of fundamental principles and techniques of fluid at rest, before studying fluids in motion. 

• Bench for introducing the properties fundamental liquids and applications.

Measurements Performed:

• Measuring the density and the density of a liquid using a universal hydrometer.

• Measuring the viscosity of a liquid falling ball

• Measuring the density and the density of a liquid using a pcnometer

• Observation of the capillarity effect between two plates flat

• Measurement of capillary action in a tube

• Archimedes principle

• Measuring atmospheric pressure with a aneroid
